Who Is Elena?

Elena defines what a tank should be in Everlusting Life: cheap to obtain, easy to gear, and impossible to ignore. Her Tower Stance ability redirects 40 percent of damage from any ally to herself, scaling further when her health drops below 50 percent. She generates extra rage from being hit, which she spends on a stun she can chain with her bonded teammate. New players are nudged toward her early in the campaign because her skill ceiling is forgiving but her skill floor protects you for the entire mid-game. In guild raids, an Elena with proper gear can solo-tank wave bosses while DPS heroines burn them down.

Backstory

Elena swore the Iron Vow at fifteen — the day her family's manor was raided by a rival house. She survived because the steward put her in a wine barrel, and she has never sat behind cover since. Her shield bears the family crest. Her oath bears the names of every villager she failed to save.
